Did you ever wanted to sell products on your blog? Well it’s not hard, it’s very easy when you really think about it. Instead of totally depending on AdSense for revenue you can do affiliate marketing. Now I know most people are turned down by affiliate marketing because it’s challenging, however, if you do it the right way it can be fun and it can be rewarding. The only catch is you must have a steady flow of traffic to your site so you can increase your chances of selling products.

I have done affiliate marketing and made a profit of over $400, which was 10% of my actual sales, so I have made about $4,000 in sales from my sites for the companies I marketed for, not bad for a beginner.

So how to do it?
As mentioned before there is a catch, and it’s steady traffic to your site. You have to have traffic regardless of what you’re selling. Because most likely 1/10 people who will visit you’re site will actually make a purchase.

When marketing you have to do some work other than just copying and pasting some images and links of the products you’re selling. You have to give reasons of why your customers will find the products you’re selling useful and how the products can benefit them. You should also show your customers the cons of the products you’re selling because it will give you more credibility and it will show your fair unbiased perspective.

I stopped doing affiliate marketing for a while but as this blog grows I will start affiliate marketing again. In upcoming posts I will do affiliate marketing on this blog so you’ll know how I do it.

So, don’t limit your online money making work to AdSense, expand it to affiliate marketing.
